Who can become an advanced rider ?

Anyone who rides a motorcycle from a tourer to a super bike or vintage to commuter. The machine you ride has little bearing on your ability to ride at advanced level.

Those riders who have just passed their DSA test will have a good basic grounding in machine control and observation. But in the main, not enough emphasis is placed on the use of all round observation and turning this into riding plans.

Road position for the "L" test is toned down with no mention of extending your position to get the best view around a bend or large vehicle you are following.

Most new riders trust to luck and hope to learn from friends and gain experience as they go.

Many will be spending several thousand pounds on the latest super bike without thinking of taking some additional training.

Your new bike will probably have almost double the power of the bike used for your test. Will you be able to use that power in a controlled way or will you hang on and hope?

Riders who have a break from bikes, or the so called "born again" biker, will have had a lot less power available when they last owned a bike. As with the new rider are you up to it?

Take an advanced rider course and let your skill match your bike
